collections of Plush or Berber carpeting.
Plush -- A style that has a pile that is lightly twisted and that generally has a uniform color. Plush carpet has more tip definition than velvets. They are softer and more level than textures. This type of carpet is ideal for living rooms and bedrooms because of its luxurious appearance. Modern stain resistance, and wearability, make this carpet a very good choice for your home.

Berber -- A style of carpet containing big and small tufts. They use a loop pile construction type, and usually contain small flecks of dark color on lighter shades of background colors.

Please note: Starting November 2011, we are now carrying & using EnviroStep 8 pound hypoallergenic carpet pad. We found too many quality issues in our previous carpet padding. Therefore we are upgrading for the comfort and health of our customers, and with no additional cost.

Fiber types: Almost all carpet (97%) is made from synthetic fibers, which are more resistant to stains and much less expensive.

Nylon is the most popular fiber (about 90% of residential carpets and 65% of all carpets). Nylon is a good choice for all traffic areas because it is durable and static free, maintains fiber height, and resists soiling, staining, and mildew. Nylon fibers, which are dyed after production, maintain color. Features: exceptionally strong, abrasion resistant, resistant to damage from oil and many chemicals, can be pre-colored or dyed in wide range of colors and low in moisture absorbency.

Olefin (polypropylene) is the next-best seller after nylon (about 80% of commercial carpet). These fibers are colorfast because the production process involves mixing polypropylene with dyes. Olefin works best in loop carpets such as Berbers. It is strong (resisting abrasion), mildew resistant, moisture resistant, and easy to clean (bleach can be used safely in some cases). Features: abrasion resistant, colorfast, quick drying, resistant to mildew, rot and weather and sunlight resistant.

Polyester (also called PET) is a very soft synthetic fiber that holds its color well and is sometimes manufactured from recycled soda pop containers. Features: durable, water resistant & static resistant, resists stretching and shrinking, mildew & abrasion resistant and cleans easily.

Wool is luxurious, strong, and stain resistant. It maintains its fiber height.
